He's finally here!!

After being a week and a half overdue, Camden Clark Moody was born. He was born at 6:58 on September 8th. He was 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 in. long. Luckily for me Marrianne delivered at the U Hospital. So after my classes on Tuesday I went and visited them. I got to hold little Camden for a very long time. I loved it!! Here are a few pictures I took while I was there.

I love those cheeks!!

Look at all that blonde hair!

Weekend Craziness!

This last weekend my roommates and I decided to have a girls night. We went to dinner at Iggy's for dinner. It was so yummy.

After dinner we went over to the Gateway Mall and went shopping. While shopping we went to Forever 21. They have some of the strangest posed mannequins. So we decided to pose like them.

Then we went and played in the fountain. It was a lot of fun. Surprisingly we didn't get very wet.

Then the next day we headed up to Morgan and stayed the night at Torri's parent's house.

On the way there we stopped at this place (I cant remember the name) and got delicious shakes. They were so big. I couldn't finish mine.

Over the summer Courtney was at a dance camp and while she was there she won a drawing. The prize was a snuggie. She modeled it for us that night.

Since it was a nice night we decided we wanted to sleep outside. We got our snacks ready and headed out.

The sky that night was amazing. I tried to take a picture of it but its hard to take a picture like that at night without a tripod. The sky may have been cool but it brought the rain. In the middle of the night I woke up to little raindrops on my face...so we headed inside.

Then the next morning we headed up to Idaho with Torri's family to pick huckleberries. We picked huckleberries for about 2 hours. This is what our hands looked like after we were done.

The berries were so tasty.

Lava Hot Springs

In July I also went to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho with my roommate, Torri and her friend Courtney. Torri's grandma lives about 10 minutes away from Lava so we stayed at her house for the three days we were there.

The first day we were there we drove to Pocatello and went to dinner and a movie.

Then after we finished dinner we had about 2 hours to kill before our movie would start. There isn't much to do in Idaho and we ended up in Walmart. We spent the next hour wandering around Walmart taking funny pictures.

Then after that we headed over to our movie. We saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Since it was opening day we had to wait in line for about an hour.

The next day we spent at Lava. It was nice to spend the day swimming and relaxing.

The next day we just hung out at Torri's Grandma's and then headed back to Salt Lake.

Camping

In July my sorority went camping! It was a lot of fun. Although earlier that week I had been out in the sun too long and got a really bad sun burn. So I was a little uncomfortable. We went up Cottonwood Canyon to our advisor's friend's cabin. We only were there for one night. We ate foil dinners, hot dogs and roasted s'mores and one of the girls brought her guitar and we sang around the campfire.

Photo Sessions

On Mother's Day I took family pictures of my aunt Debbie's family. They turned out so cute!

In June I shot my first wedding! I got a call at the beginning of June from my aunt Karla asking if I would be willing to fly to Washington to be the photographer at her wedding. I told her I would love to. Not only did I get photography experience but I also got to go home to see my mom. It was fun and a big learning experience.

Summer Sewing Projects

While my grandma was in town in for all the festivities I bought material to make a quilt for myself. My grandma makes these quilts for all the new babies in our family and I absolutely love them. I have been wanting one for my own for quite sometime. So I figured since it was summer and my grandma was around to show me how to make it this would be a perfect time to make one. I love my blanket!

I am the vice president of my sorority, so most of June I spent planning activities and such for the rest of summer and for the fall. At the end of every school year we as a sorority give the president a gift to show our appreciation for all that she did for that year. This year we decided to make her a patch quilt. We wanted the names for each girl in the sorority embroidered on the blanket. I mentioned I knew someone who had an embroidery machine. So I was put in charge of the blanket. Which meant that I had to do all the sewing. It turned out being a lot bigger of a project than I had expected. I spent many hours working on it. But I was so happy with the way it turned out. It looked great. Once I finished sewing all the squares together the girls in my sorority help tie the quilt. Then earlier this month we all went out to dinner and presented the blanket to Maegan. She loved it and it made all the hard work worth it.

I love the way both quilts turned out but I think I have done enough quilting to last me quite a while.

Summer 2009!

I just finished my first week back at school and thought it would be good to write about my summer. I had a very fun and busy summer. Lets start at the beginning...

May was a busy family month. I spent the first 2 weeks at my aunt Debbie's house while family was in town for various events. The first of the events was my brother and his wife graduated from the University of Utah with bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science.

(Me, Marianne, Chris, Mom, Makayla, Laura)

Since there was a lot of family in town we decided to throw a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Marianne.

(Makayla decided she wanted to help Mar open her
presents.)

(They are so excited to be parents!)

The next day was Mother's Day and my little sister Kaeli's 21st birthday. We had a big family BBQ. It was so fun. It was the first time in many years that my mom has had all her kids with her on Mother's Day.

A month or so before this BBQ I had found a new dessert that my family has fallen in love with. It has now become the favorite and is requested every time I go to my aunt's house. It is Layered Strawberry Cheesecake Bowl. It is so yummy!

Also that same day my cousin Annaka was blessed. My grandma made her dress. It was gorgeous!
